Time to say goodbye

I will be back to China in two days and it is the time to say goodbye to all my friends in Ann Arbor. I am very sad for the leaving and I am sure I will come back in two years!

During these two months, I made a deep friendship between generations with my advisor Vincent and also lovely Prof.Coppola. I have to say that talking science with Vincent is really of great fun. I will never forget the nice time with chemistry in Vincent's office. He helped me a lot and at last I got a good result of the project. To be honest, Vincent changed me a lot in the way of thinking chemistry and life. It's my pleasure to see this changes.

I also want to thank Prof.Coppola. I can not imagine what my life will be here without his great help. Luckily, we can meet in Beijing every year. So what I want to say to Coppola is see you in September and looking forward to having wings with you in this fall~

Time to say goodbye, to my dear group members, to Vincent, to Coppola, to my host, to everybody here that got through with we in the past two months.

I will miss you all

Soccer Tomorrow!

Gellert and I will go to play soccer with the new graduates come from PKU in fuller park tomorrow~~

Welcome to see the photos about soccer tomorrow!

En...I am sleepy now. Good night~

Newton's apple hits my head:-)

I do think that Newton's apple hits my head at sometime this week. This resulted in the fancy structure of the crystal.

After several weeks' waiting, finally I got crystals, little dark crystals. I had never expected those crystals could be related to something important. But Now,THEY DID. I showed the XRD result to Prof.Pecoraro, and he told me that the structure was fancy and he had been waiting for those structures since 1989....He said: You synthesized the compound in 20 days which I've been waiting for for nearly 20 years. At that time, I realized that I did some good work. Maybe it could be a paper after some further testing, such as UV,IR...At least, I have a lot to say at the presentation at August 8th.

At last I have to say that:
The ocean of science is a boundless adventure. I have chosen one of them to be my greatest interest, and I plan to explore the mysterious world with genuine curiosity and vigor.

P.S: It is quite a pity that I have to be back in 20 days. I am sure that I can finish all the synthesis of the new system and the paper about the new system if I could have one more month...

Everything goes well:)

Work here is much easier and more convenient than China. They have all chemicals I need. You know, in China, it always take me a long time to wait for my chemicals....and it's quit annoying.

I have just began my work on Single Molecole Magnetics. I love the project that Prof.Pecorora arranged for me and I will try my best to solve it:)

I went soccer with the students who are also in this program this weekend. I think I am a good player and enjoyed myself very much~ Maybe next time I can ask Wang Wei to go together with me:)

Ok,I have to work now~

good luck to the other 3 classmats who came here with me and good night to all the friends in China~~

First day working in the lab

It is quite an exciting experience to be a group member of Prof.Pecorora's and working with people from all over the world.

Lab here is really great and I feel great to do my research on SMM here~ Prof.Pecorora told me that in the US, crossing finger means Good Luck. So, good luck, everybody!

I'm sure I will understand chemistry better this summer.

Chemistry = chem is try
